BlahBlahMatic
BlahBlahMatic is an intranet web application with a database containing hundreds of videoclips.
When a user enters a phrase, the application finds one clip for each word and generates a videoclip out of it.

The application was built and deployed on Mac OS X. It uses Apache, PHP and MySQL as a backend, and Flash as a frontend.
Because videoclips are kept in broadcast quality for the final render, the system needs to automatically create an FLV file for each of them in order to display the preview inside the Flash frontend. FFMPEG is used by the application to automatically encode Quicktime DV videos to FLV files.
BlahBlahMatic was developed for Banzai Films.
